DONATIONS FOR THE SILENT AUCTION – 7 th ANNUAL GALA DINNER

Dear parents, dear members of our Rochambeau community
Since last year's Gala Dinner Auction was both fun and successful, the School is planning to hold this terrific event again on May 11 th , 2007 at La Maison Française . The event generates great enthusiasm, and brings together all the components of our school community. It's a great night out!
Proceeds from the evening benefit our children; indeed this year's Gala funds will be used to support sports.
To ensure that this special event is successful and fun, we will need your help. For the auction we are looking for an assortment of attractive donations. For example last year, one of the most appealing items was the School's donation of a Rochambeau school bus for 35 people: 10 families enjoyed a special treat and went to a pumpkin patch on a beautiful Saturday in October!
You can help by donating a product or service and you can also help by asking family and friends or your favorite stores, for donations.
These are some ideas, but perhaps you will have others:
- Get sports lessons at your tennis, karate club or your pool
- Ask your hair salon or barber to donate a haircut
- Offer a week long stay in your summer place or in your home for people visiting from overseas
- Give something unique from your country, a piece of antique jewelry or an interesting piece of furniture
- Donate Airline tickets or frequent flyers miles
- Prepare a delicious dinner for 4-8 persons at your home, or cook and deliver a native meal
- Host a meeting with an author, an artist or a very specialized professional.
- Offer lessons, tutoring or share your very special talents or specialties (knitting, cooking, accounting, etc) with others
