Tout a commencé il y a deux ans : une association carritative est venue au lycée et des actions de fund-raising ont été menées.
Alors, les élèves ont voulu continuer. Durant toute l’année scolaire 2002-2003, Elias, Antoine, Arthur, Julia, Jeanne, Sacha, Justine, Alix, Morgane, Jéromine, Elisa, Beatrix, Laura et Laura, Carolyn, Jules, Mathieu, Audrey, Gama, Sydney, Chloe, Mohamed, Vanessa, Ophélie, Philippe, Josine, Bintou, Solène, Constance, Nadia, Adèle, Sarah, Ann-Maud, Fabien et Julie ont agi :

- vente de pizzas les mercredi à 11h30 et 12h30
- vente de petits pains et de croissants les lundis et vendredis à 10h30
- une collecte « Et si chacun donnait $1.00 »

Les bénéfices se sont élevés à $ 2,969.50
Le groupe d’élèves bénévoles s’est réuni fin juin pour décider à qui l’argent serait donné. Ils ont voté pour deux associations : Children’s Inn et Make-A-Wish.

sont venues nous rendre visite le mardi 14 octobre 2003 (2) et le mercredi 19 novembre 2003 (1) ; un chèque de $1,484.75 a été remis à chaque association en présence des élèves bénévoles, de Mme Quélen, Proviseur, Mme Rabaté, Proviseur Adjoint, Mme Juvénal, Directrice du pirmaire et de M.Hureau, Intendant.

Stéphanie et Suzanne ont présenté leur association aux élèves qui n’ont pas manqué de leur poser des questions autour d’une collation sympathique.

Nous tenons à remercier la Vie Scolaire, l‘Administration, Mmes Beaugrand et Cohn pour leur aide et leur soutien, également la PATISSERIE POUPON et la PIZZERIA IL FORNO de leur aimable et généreuse collaboration durant toute l’année. Nous voulons saluer les élèves de Terminale de l’année dernière qui avaient participé à ces différentes actions et qui ne pouvaient être des nôtres ce mardi. Vous qui êtes en France, au Canada ou aux Etats Unis, merci beaucoup et bonne continuation pour vos études !

MAKE-A-WISH at the Lycée Rochambeau

It all began two years ago when a charity came to the lycée and fundraising was done. So the students wanted to keep it going. During the whole academic year of 2002-2003, Elias, Antoine, Arthur, Julia, Jeanne, Sacha, Justine, Alix, Morgane, Jéromine, Elisa, Beatrix, Laura et Laura, Carolyn, Jules, Mathieu, Audrey, Gama, Sydney, Chloe, Mohamed, Vanessa, Ophélie, Philippe, Josine, Bintou, Solène, Constance, Nadia, Adèle, Sarah, Ann-Maud, Fabien et Julie took actions:

- they sold pizzas on Wednesdays at 11:30 and 12:30,
- petits pains and croissants on Mondays and Fridays at 10:30 and - collected donations “If everyone gives $1.00”.
Profits are $ 2,969.50

The group of volunteers gathered at the end of June to decide on whom the money would be given. They voted for two organizations: Children’s Inn and Make-A-Wish.

came on Tuesday 14th of October(2) and Wednesday 19th of November (1) at which time we gave each of them a check of $ 1,484.75.
They were joined by the students, Ms.Quélen, Headmistress, Ms.Rabaté, Vice Headmistress, Ms. Juvénal, Primary Headmistress, and M. Hureau, Financial Director.

They presented the Make-A-Wish organization and Children’s Inn to the assembly and the students did not fail to ask many questions while enjoying drinks and cakes!

We would like to thank the Vie Scolaire, the Administration, Ms. Beaugrand and Cohn for their help and support, without forgetting the PATISSERIE POUPON and the PIZZERIA IL FORNO for their kind and generous collaboration throughout the whole year.
Last but not least, we would like to extend our thanks to last year’s 12th graders who participated in these different actions and who obviously could not be with us this Tuesday. You are in France, in Canada or in the U.S., thank you very much and all the best!
