Rochambeau parents

Any change in a student's schedule, early or late pick-up, cancellation of daycare or club,

absence, must be sent as soon as possible to:

If the modification involves a change in the bus, copy:

If the change involves a modification in the after school programs (daycare, club, studies) copy:

ALL drivers must adhere to these regulations for dropping off or picking up children:

• Prohibitions:

  • Making the southbound U-turn movement at Alta Vista Road from Rockville Pike after exiting the school is prohibited 

  • Making a U-turn movement on Alta Vista Road to head north on Rockville Pike.

  • Using Maplewood neighborhood streets in the Maplewood and Locust Hill neighborhoods.  Only drivers residing in these neighborhoods are allowed to use the neighborhood streets in these neighborhoods.  

  • Dropping-off students along the site frontage on MD 355 or neighborhood streets to walk to school is strictly prohibited  

  • Obey all traffic laws including peak period turn restrictions.

• As a reminder, the TMP states that each infraction is punishable by a penalty, and five violations are punishable by a permanent exclusion of the student. 

These rules apply at all times and on all days, and not merely on weekdays during the "rush hour" times around 8:30 am, 3:30 pm or 5:30 pm. These procedures are designed to provide for a safe environment for our students and are also part of our Transport Management Plan with our local neighborhood community.
