La transition entre l’automne et l’hiver s’est bien déroulée, avec une semaine marquée par les sélections de basketball. 

Plus d’une centaine d’élèves ont participé aux essais pour tenter d’intégrer les équipes de Rochambeau, dans une ambiance sérieuse et motivée. Dès demain,  vendredi 21 novembre, premier match des Varsity Boys à domicile contre Barrie School, à 18h00. 

En soccer, nos équipes participaient ce week-end au tournoi Columbia Fall Classic. Les équipes U16 et Varsity ont proposé un contenu solide et régulier, sans toutefois atteindre les phases finales. Les U13 (5e) ont terminé finalistes, après un très bon parcours, et les U10 (CM1) ont remporté le titre du tournoi, une première pour ce groupe. Félicitations à tous les joueurs et coachs pour leur implication tout au long de la saison.

La saison de soccer d’automne s’achèvera définitivement ce weekend avec le tournoi féminin d’Anne Arundel County, où quatre équipes représenteront Rochambeau : Varsity, U16, U14 et U12.

Cette semaine etait aussi marquée par le lancement de l’organisation du tournoi AEFE de volleyball, prévu pour la dernière semaine de janvier. À ce jour, dix écoles sont déjà inscrites, annonçant une belle édition à venir. Plus de 120 joueurs se sont présentés pour les sélections et les groupes sont maintenant constitués ! 

The transition between autumn and winter went smoothly, with a week marked by basketball tryouts. 

More than a hundred students participated in the tryouts to try and join the Rochambeau teams, in a serious and motivated atmosphere. Starting tomorrow, Friday, November 21, the Varsity Boys will play their first home game against Barrie School at 6:00 PM.

In soccer, our teams participated in the Columbia Fall Classic tournament this past weekend.The U16 and Varsity teams offered solid and consistent play, though they did not reach the final rounds.

The U13 (5th grade) team finished as finalists after a very good run, and the U10 (4th grade) team won the tournament title, a first for this group. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for their commitment throughout the season.

The autumn soccer season will definitively conclude this weekend with the Anne Arundel County Girls' Tournament, where four teams will represent Rochambeau: Varsity, U16, U14, and U12.

This week also saw the launch of the organization for the AEFE volleyball tournament, scheduled for the last week of January. To date, ten schools are already registered, promising a great upcoming edition. More than 120 players showed up for the tryouts and the groups are now formed!
