Afin de mieux comprendre ce jour d'investiture présidentielle aux Etats-Unis, le service communication, les professeur.e.s d'histoire-géographie et les documentalistes vous ont sélectionné quelques ressources, pour les parents et les élèves.

In order to better understand this day of Presidential Inauguration in the United States, our Communication Department, History and Geography teachers, and librarians have selected a few resources for parents and students.
 

  • How to watch the ceremony: Presidential Inaugural Committee
    • Youth programming begins at 10:00 am
    • General audience live coverage begins at 10:30am
    • Oath of Office expected to be administered shortly before 12:00 pm
  • Library of Congress: Digital collection of Presidential Inaugurations - speeches, official records, photos
  • C-Span Classroom: What makes a good inaugural address? (video and other links)
  • Discovery Education: livestream, infographics, and more. Some pages require users to have an account and sign in, but the livestream and the resources linked at the bottom of the page are free to access without sign in.
  • A modern tradition: It has become somewhat of a tradition to read poetry during the Inauguration ceremony. Here are a few of the poems that were read by their author during past inaugurations. This year, Joe Biden has asked poet Amanda Gorman to read at his ceremony.
