Francophonie Day is observed by the International Organization of La Francophonie on March 20 every year to celebrate the French language and Francophone culture. It is celebrated in commemoration of the 1970 Niamey Convention, where French-speaking states signed to align their mutual interest.

As the French International School in DC, we are recognizing the 220 million francophones, across five different continents, and encouraging our community to celebrate their love for the French language. We are pleased to be hosting events to celebrate such as:
