The Fiche dialogue, or Academic Choice Form, is essential because it helps families make decisions about electives, language selections, and the program choice (French Baccalauréat or IB) for each school year. It also allows us to anticipate course and staffing needs for next year.

Timeline

End of the Second Trimester

Families must submit their academic preferences for the following school year at the end of the second trimester.
For the 2026-2027 school year, the forms will be sent on Monday, February 23, 2026, and must be completed by March 9, 2026.

The conseil de classe will review these requests and issue a provisional recommendation. Following the second-trimester conseils de classe (from March 9 to March 26, 2026), the professeur principal will contact families in case of questions or uncertainties regarding the student’s expressed choices.

End of the Third Trimester

Before the third-trimester conseils de classe, a summary of preferences will be sent to families. If the preferences stay the same, you do not have to take any action. If changes are needed, families must submit a revised form. The conseil de classe will review the requests and make a final decision.

Once the conseils de classe are complete, academic choices will be confirmed. After these dates, any changes must be discussed directly with the Secondary School Director, his Deputy, or the homeroom teacher.

Criteria Considered by the Conseil de classe

The conseil de classe evaluates requests based on multiple factors to provide feedback to families. This feedback is only given when a family’s choices may present concerns. The conseil’s recommendation is based on:

• The student’s academic performance,
• Their motivation and work capacity,
• Their English proficiency (for certain programs like the IB Diploma).

If the family disagrees with the conseil de classe’s recommendation, the professeur principal will contact them for further discussion.
