Des correspondants américains de la National Cathedral School pour les élèves de 5ème ESL & Standard English
Les élèves de 5ème des classes de Mme Finney et de Mme Zappe ont créé et écrit des cartes postales pour les envoyer à des élèves américains apprenant le français à la National Cathedral School de Washington DC. Le projet de correspondance comprend l'échange de lettres ainsi qu'une visite dans chaque école.
Les élèves de NCS sont venus visiter Rochambeau cette semaine, et ont rencontrés leurs correspondants à travers des jeux pour apprendre à mieux se connaître ! Ils ont assisté aux cours de leurs correspondants toute la matinée. C'était très passionnant pour eux car tous les cours sont en français (outre les cours de LV2 - espagnol, allemand). Les élèves Rochambeau les visiteront à leur tour en Mars !
Ms. Finney's and Ms. Zappe's 7th grade students have been sending handmade postcards to American students learning French at the National Cathedral School in Washington DC. The name of this exchange is called the PEN PAL PROJECT and it involves students sending letters back and forth to learn about each other. The correspondance follows with a visit to each school.
This week, National Cathedral School 7th grade students spent half a day with their Rochambeau pen pals. They've been corresponding for months and finally had a chance to meet in person. They played ice-breaker games during recess and met each other for the first time. NCS students even attended classes with their Rochambeau pen pals. This was a very immersive experience for the NCS students as they experienced for the first time ALL subjects being taught in French!
In March, Rochambeau students will spend a half day with their pen pals at the National Cathedral School.
Présentation de la France à l'école américaine Concord Hill
Five students from Ludovic Barrois' CM1B class met with students from Concord Hill School in Chevy Chase at the end of January.
4th grade students presented the country of France to five classes, along with posters with symbolic representations of France about landscapes, Paris, and French painters. They also led two workshops for the students: coloring in the same style as some French painters and by reading a story together in English. The day ended with a delicious tasting of french products, and of course, cheese!
