In Memory of Hélène

It is with immense sadness that we have been informed of the tragic passing of one of our former Board members and a beloved parent at Rochambeau, Hélène de Neuville Pangas.

Hélène was the victim of a traffic accident while biking on Monday, September 21, 2020 in Cap Ferret, France. She died instantly from the accident.

As a member of the Rochambeau community, Hélène was a devoted parent and dedicated volunteer. As a member of the Board of Trustees, she was instrumental in a series of initiatives that resulted in greater voice and participation from the parent community. Hélène worked tirelessly to improve the quality of the education students receive at Rochambeau and was a leading voice for creating financial aid opportunities at Rochambeau so that more students could benefit from a French Education. 

It is because of Hélène's passion and dedication for educational opportunities that transcend one’s nationality or means that her family has dedicated this Scholarship Fund in her memory.

While we have lost a friend, a beacon and an inspiration, above our heads one more star is now shining to show us the way.
